What This Is

A concise summary of the Campus Compass concept: a mobile app that helps Seattle University students discover clubs, join groups, RSVP to events, and get directions to on-campus activities.

Why We Created It

Students reported that club information is scattered across email, posters, websites, and word of mouth. We wanted to create a centralized, student-friendly experience where they can:

  • Browse clubs by interest,
  • Join and manage memberships,
  • See upcoming events,
  • Communicate with club organizers,
  • Get directions to event locations.

How It Connects in the Process

The project description aligned our team around a shared problem statement and vision. It served as the foundation for our personas and informed every design decision that followed.

What We Changed or Learned

As we moved through the process, the project description became more focused on:

  • Reducing friction in joining clubs,
  • Making event RSVP and directions feel effortless,
  • Supporting both students and club organizers as primary user groups.
