Paper Prototype
Testing flows cheaply and quickly.
What This Is
A low-fidelity, clickable paper prototype that simulated the main workflows:
- Finding and joining a club,
- RSVP'ing to an event,
- Getting directions to an event.
Why We Created It
Paper prototypes let us test interaction flows without investing time in detailed UI. We could:
- Walk participants through tasks,
- Observe confusion early,
- Iterate by redrawing screens.
How It Connects in the Process
The paper prototype turned our IA and sketches into a tangible, testable experience. It prepared us for:
- More detailed wireframes,
- Clearer decisions about content hierarchy and interaction.
What We Changed or Learned
Key insights included:
- The need for clearer back/exit options,
- Better visual emphasis on actions like Join and RSVP,
- Clearer pathways between related screens (e.g., from club info to messaging).
